We met Bradan and Gus when I was at my wits end and about to throw in the towel. We had arrears with Revenue and our relationship with our accountant was not working. Firstly they took a critical look at our situation and got us clued in to cash forecasting. I was dreading changing accountants but they made it very smooth. They helped us to do a deal with Revenue. I’m glad to say that we have managed to keep to the plan for the last 12 months and are much more optimistic about the future. We are not out of the woods yet but getting there and now following a plan that makes sense and we believe will work.
I spent a lot of time working on the books instead of out meeting new clients. With the set up of XERO we were able to move off spreadsheets and automate a lot of our accounting. XERO also allows me to invoice customers on the mobile while on the move.
For our business we found that Receiptbank worked very well for us to take a photo of suppliers invoices and Bradan did all the heavy lifting in the background. This has been a game-changer for us and freed up my time to chase new business.
Seemed like we were doing all the right things, working hard, keeping the books in order and Revenue and the banks happy, The problem was we didn’t seem to be making any money ourselves ! We spent some time with Bradan and looked at our business and especially our customers. We assessed profitability across a range of projects and found out where we were making money and just as important where we weren’t. This insight and keeping on top of it has been invaluable.
